FAQs for LifeMax Multivitamin
1. Why did Newport Natural Health create this product?
Optimal health begins at the cellular level. Healthy cells are the key to healthy aging. As cells age, they lose a certain number of base pairs of DNA known as telomeres.
Telomeres have been compared to the plastic tips on shoelaces because they prevent chromosome ends from fraying as cells divide. Yet each time a cell divides, the telomeres get shorter. When they get too short, the cell can no longer divide. This process is associated with aging.
Certain vitamins and antioxidants have been shown to protect DNA from oxidative damage and to help maintain telomere length.
LifeMax Multivitamin is a comprehensive multi-nutrient formula designed to provide nutritional support for every cell in the body and to help promote healthy aging. It gives you the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants you need to maintain telomere length, promote healthy DNA function, and improve your overall health, well-being and vitality.
2. Who should take this product?
This product should be taken by anyone interested in nutritional support for their overall health, well-being and healthy DNA function. This formula contains vitamins and antioxidants that may help maintain telomere length and activity, which helps protect DNA and promotes healthy, vibrant aging.

- Dietary antioxidants are widely believed to scavenge and/or inhibit the production of free radicals in the body.
- Spectra™ is an all-natural combination of fruits, vegetables and herbs rich in polyphenols, and possesses high antioxidant capacity as measured by its activity against five free radicals (peroxyl radicals, hydroxyl radicals, peroxynitrite, superoxide anion, and singlet oxygen).
- A clinical trial suggests that supplementing with 100 mg of Spectra™ supports a healthy response to oxidative and nitrosative (reactive nitrogen species – RNS) stress in the body. 100 mg of Spectra™ was shown to elicit a substantial response to free radical activity in the body.
- Results indicated that Spectra™ helped decrease reactive oxygen species (ROS) (aka free radicals), increase cellular oxygen consumption in blood and mitochondria, decrease extracellular H2O2, and reduce TNFα-induced inflammatory response in humans.

Ingredient Facts
5. Are there any ingredient standardizations?
KSM-66® Ashwagandha root extract is standardized to >5% total withanolides.
6. Why does this product contain L-5 methyltetrahydrofolate calcium instead of folic acid?
Folate is naturally present in a wide variety of foods, including vegetables (especially dark green leafy vegetables), fruits and fruit juices, nuts, beans, peas, seafood, eggs, dairy products, meat, poultry, and grains. Many dietary supplements use folic acid as the form of dietary folate. When consumed, the body must hydrolyze and reduce folic acid and folate into the active form – 5 methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) before it can be used.
At least 1 in 10 people lack the enzyme required to convert folic acid to its active 5-MTHF form, so they cannot properly utilize the folate or folic acid they consume. Supplementing with biologically active 5-MTHF provides everyone with this vital nutrient for optimal nutritional support.
7. Is the formula Kosher?
No.
8. Does this product contain caffeine?
The coffee extract and green tea extract in the Spectra™ blend naturally contain minute amounts of caffeine. LifeMax Multivitamin provides approximately 0.5 mg of caffeine per serving.
By comparison, an 8 ounce cup of brewed coffee provides 95 mg of caffeine, and the leading brands of soda (Coke and Pepsi) provide 34-37 mg of caffeine per serving.
9. Is the product suitable for vegetarians?
Yes.
10. Is the formula free of common allergens?
This product contains milk.
However it contains no egg or egg by-products, fish or fish by-products, shellfish or shellfish by-products, tree nuts or tree nut by-products, wheat or wheat by-products, and peanut or peanut by-products.
It contains no artificial colors or preservatives.
11. Does this product contain gluten?
LifeMax Multivitamin is naturally gluten free.
12. What excipients or "other ingredients" are used in this product?
Hypromellose, modified food starch, dicalcium phosphate, rice flour, L-leucine, microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, silicon dioxide, sucrose, maltodextrin, citric acid, carrageenan, sodium ascorbate, potassium acetate, DL-alpha tocopherol, medium chain triglycerides and sunflower lecithin.
